2023 Toyota Corolla Sedan [EU]

Few cars can have a better foundation for success than the Toyota Corolla, a nameplate affixed to more vehicles worldwide than any other. Although the Toyota Corolla has been on the market for more than half a century, it has always kept pace with the evolution of drivers. needs and preferences. NEW DESIGN 

 

Each Toyota Corolla body  has its own unique look. The new range gets a more refined and modern look with changes to the grille motif on the front grille, the fog lamp surrounds and the design of the alloy wheels. The upper trims of the sedan and  Toyota Corolla Touring Sports receive new bi-LED headlights; in the high version they are equipped with the adaptive high beam system "AHS". Available exterior colors include three new colors inspired by current trends in architecture, product  design and fashion. Juniper Blue is the new key sport sedan and touring color with a bright and vibrant hue.Seen up close, it reveals shades of red that create a fresh effect with subtle color variations. 

 

New Midnight Teal Green is available for the Toyota Corolla Sedan, an elegant finish that reveals a striking shadow effect when viewed from the right perspective. Available on all body styles, Gray Metallic is a timeless hue with broad appeal, accented with flakes of dark silver  paint. For the interiors, the ambience is more modern and luxurious with new graphics, decorations and embossed patterns that bring three-dimensional depth and tactile sensations to upholstery, finishes and finishes. The's upholstery and seat trim combinations follow the new Dark and Light Harmony themes (depending on body style) with coordinated colors and trim to give the cabin a contemporary and sleek look.

TOYOTA FIFTH GENERATION  HYBRID ELECTRICITY TECHNOLOGY 

 

The new Corolla features the fifth generation of Toyota's world-leading self-charging full hybrid electric system. As with the current model, 1.8- and 2.0-liter hybrid systems are available. Both benefit from significant  engine and electric motor modifications that enhance the driving experience with additional power, improved performance and handling, and the same or lower CO2 emissions (depending on  powertrain).The control unit and gear motor have been redesigned and the lithium-ion battery is more powerful but smaller and lighter (weight reduction of up to 18 kg, depending on  powertrain). 

 

The total output of the 1.8 liter system is 140 DIN hp and reduces the 0-100 km/h time from 1.7 seconds to 9.2 seconds.Despite this increase in performance, CO2 emissions are expected to remain unchanged at 102 g/km. With the 2.0-litre system, combined power is increased to 196  hp and the 0-100 km/h time is reduced by almost half a second  to 7.5 seconds. Combined CO2 emissions are to be reduced by 3 g/km  to 107 g/km.

INCREASED SAFETY AND DRIVING ASSISTANCE 

 

The new Corolla is equipped with Toyota T-Mate, which combines the latest generation of Toyota Safety Sense  with other active driving and parking assistance systems that not only make driving easier and safer, but also contribute to it protect all vehicle occupants and other road users. System performance and functionality improvements include acceleration suppression, which reacts to sudden  accelerator pedal depression when driving at low speeds; Collision Avoidance Assist when turning the at an intersection; emergency steering assistant, which can now react to oncoming traffic; Avoid side collisions and slow down when cornering. 

 

Over-the-air software updates  keep features current and allow you to add new features as they become available throughout the life of the vehicle. Among the Toyota T-Mate's features is Safe Exit Assist, which triggers an alarm if it detects a door opening in the path of a vehicle or cyclist approaching from behind.There's also a new rear seat reminder feature that alerts the driver before exiting the car that they may need to check if they've forgotten anything in the back seats.

USER EXPERIENCE 

 

The new Corolla benefits from Toyota's latest digital and multimedia capabilities, designed for a better user experience and scalable to introduce new features and enhancements with seamless over-the-air updates. 

 

The enlarged 10.5-inch multimedia display features high-resolution graphics  and  an anti-glare screen for excellent readability in all lighting conditions. Starting with the mid-range trim level, the driver's instrument display  also gets a facelift with a new 12.3-inch instrument cluster that can be adjusted to the driver's preferences in four different modes: Casual, Smart, Sports and Tough.

 

The cars come with a four-year warranty Access to Toyota Smart Connect or Toyota Smart Connect+ (depending on model variant) with access to "always on"; Cloud navigation and real-time traffic and travel information. The driver can also  use  a new in-vehicle voice agent that recognizes natural language commands for vehicle or multimedia functions such as opening or closing the windows. 

COROLLA GR SPORT 

 

Since its launch in 2020, the GR SPORT version has proven very effective in giving the Corolla a sportier profile  and enhancing the car's appeal, particularly in attracting new customers to the Toyota brand . Over 20,000 have been sold to date. Inspired by TOYOTA GAZOO RACING, the GR SPORT has a more powerful appearance that emphasizes the Corolla's clean, dynamic styling with unique exterior and interior design elements.

 

The new Toyota Corolla GR SPORT features new machined 18-inch  alloy wheels and a new rear bumper and skid plate. The  hatchback and sport touring seats feature a new finish with the GR logo embossed on the headrest and a new micro-hexagon motif on the silver bands along the edges of the headrest and cushion. The GR logo is also added to the start button. 

 

The new Toyota Corolla range will go on sale in Europe in the first quarter of 2023.
